I saw this on ‘Life and Other Disasters’ Blog. You can check out her post here.
So I wasn’t Tagged but I love doing these posts anyway. So if you are like me and don’t really get tagged in things but want to do this tag then i tag YOU! lets jump into the questions…
How many books is too many books in a series?
I like trilogies the most, but if love a series then the more books the better! If I am really loving the series and just want as many books as possible then I’ll take all the books.
How do you feel about cliffhangers?
If I can get the next book right away then I love them. If there’s a cliffhanger and I have to wait months to years for the next book then I just get stressed out!
Hardback or Paperback?
I used to not really care, and was more focused on getting the cheapest one, now I definitely prefer Hardbacks but if I like the paperback cover better then I’ll purchase that one. It really just depends on the cover art.
I am going to assume that the Harry Potter Series isn’t included, in which case I would have to say the ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ Series.
Least Favourite Book?
hmm… that’s a tricky one. I’d have to say maybe ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ By Audrey Niffenegger. I didn’t completely hate the book or anything but I did DNF it, which a rarely do.
Love triangles. Yes or No?
It 100% depends on the book and the writing. But overall Yes.
The most recent book you just could not finish?
‘Before I Fall’ By Lauren Oliver. I was listening to the audiobook and I was enjoying it but I just couldn’t finish it.
A book you are currently reading
I’ve just started ‘Falling Kingdoms’ By Morgan Rhodes, liking it so far.
Last book you recommended to someone?
‘Every Heart a Doorway’ By Seanan McGuire, the whole series really. They are short and have great representation throughout.
Oldest book you’ve read (Publication Date)
Hmm.. after some googling it seems the oldest book I’ve read is ‘Pride and Prejudice’ By Jane Austin.
Newest book you’ve read (Publication Date)
I would have to say ‘Beneath the Sugar Sky’ By Seanan McGuire.
I have a lot but some that quickly come to mind are:
* J.K. Rowling
* Sarah J. Mass
* Brene Brown
* Andy Wier
* Rick Riordan
* Jessica Townsend
Buying Books or Borrowing Books?
I think my partner and bank account would want me to say borrowing but I love buying books. I love the smell of a fresh book and I love having a bookcase full of adventures that I can pick up at any time. Besides, I can never decide what I want to read so I prefer to have options and not only have the ones I’ve borrowed.
A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love
I’d have to say ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ again. When I read it, it was HUGE. The movie had come out and everyone was raving about the book. But I just didn’t like it as much.
Bookmark or Dog-ear?
hands down Bookmarks. I’ve got a little collection of them going so there’s always one for the book I’m reading.
A book you can always re-read
I don’t usually re-read books. I just have to many books that I want to read that I just don’t get time to go back and re-read. I do however LOVE the Harry Potter Audibooks and i will listen to them A LOT.
Can you read while hearing/listening to music?
I can but I read very very slowly when that happens. I don’t actively listen to music while I’m reading and if I hear someones music while I am reading I really need to focus on blocking it out, which really slows me down.
One POV or Multiple POV’s?
I like both. It just depends on how the story needs to be told. some stories I can understand multiple POV’s, others one is perfect.
Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
I definitely cannot do it in one sitting. I’m always so busy with things I need to be doing that I don’t have the time, also my eyes would DIE if I read for a whole day. So definitely multiple days.
A book you read because of the cover?
‘Roar’ By Cora Carmack. When I purchased it I hadn’t heard much about it. It was worth it though and I’m now hanging out for the second one!
I tag everyone and anyone who wants to do this tag!
